Growing up I truly believed Alice Cooper was one dangerous character. I also believed he tapped into some societal and personal fears more successfully than any other performer in the early 1970s.
One of the personal fears I related, and, sadly, still relate to is fear of visiting a dentist. Alice captured that fear in a song from the Billion Dollar Babies album in a song called Unfinished Sweet. You can listen to it here.
I face that fear in reality today as I visit my dentist to have a painful tooth removed. Like the character in Alice’s song, I hope my gums don’t have to go….the featured image from the Scission Blog says it all. (source: http://oreaddaily.blogspot.com.au/2013_07_14_archive.html)
De Sade’s gonna live in my mouth tonight. Great song by one of the greatest lyrics writer ever.
