Dear friend, we’d known each other for a lifetime. I know at times I’d been quite hard on you and perhaps not treated you as best I should have. That you would cause me so much pain towards what was an inevitable end is understandable then, although understand my ignorant inattention was never meant to hurt you.  But, in the end, it did come down to you or me.
